New

Have I mentioned before how much I like to wear black?

I am not one to keep new clothing hanging in the wardrobe but rather like to wear my new goodies as soon as possible.  The black square sweater and wedge heel booties are from my recent Purchases and as you can see they didn't remain unworn for long.

oversized square sweater : supre
skinny ponte pans : target
wedge heel booties : hush puppies
bag : equip

Apologies for the return to Iphone photos but I finally have my camera back so 'proper' photos coming up.

  1. Although I am currently wearing a lot more colours than I ever did, I will never give up black and have a lot of black clothes.

When I look at your kitchen and living area I can see that this outfit is perfectly you. Clean, modern and very stylish! Your fabulous haircut, red nails - all that matches so well.

    1. I used to wear lots and lots of black when I lived in NYC (just like everyone else in NYC) and I still wore a blot when I moved from NYC but after a few years I came back to all of my colors.
The outfit is quite modern and sleek just like your lovely home.

    2. Annette, thank you. There tends to be ongoing debate about wearing black particularly for over 40's. And over the past 2 years I have added colour to my wardrobe BUT there are few colours that I really enjoy wearing and as you so astutely noted the clean, modern look of all black is definitely a reflection of not just my fashion preferences but my general style preferences. I really appreicate your thoughts.

    3. And thank you Ofelia. I would agree that we are so often influenced by those around us in terms of what we wear. Colours do look so lovely on you and I certainly understand why you embrace them so.

  2. I like this outfit A. L.O.T. I'll always be a huge fan on black ... its so easy to wear and its one of the colours (or non colours as some say) that makes me feel strong.

    1. Thanks Wendy! I agree, wearing black makes me feel 'like me' and I get what you are sayin about feeling strong in black. I am particlularly attracted to the subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) drama of black.

    1. GlassOrganelle, thank you! I am having to resist the urge to wear the boots daily. They are so simple in styling but I have fallen hard for them.

  4. Hi Deborah - just loving your blog, thank-you for all the great tips and ideas. I have just taken delivery of my Supre square jumper and really enjoying it. Had to buy charcoal as it was out of stock in black. But I have so much black in my wardrobe that the charcoal really complements my other items.
Thanks again and look forward to your next update.
