It's 2015

Happy New Year!

I have just commenced three weeks holiday, and have a long list of jobs to achieve.  Lots of household reorganization, and a little DIY renovation job on my study.

Shopping has been at a minimum with only a couple of intended purchases during the Christmas / New Year sales.  I did splurge a little last week and have a couple of new tops winging their way to me, along with a new pair of harem trousers.  I have loved wearing my harem leggings so much I decided harem 'pants' would be a great addition.

It's high summer here.  I am not a lover of shorts, but there are days when they are just the right thing for a hot summer day.  I find an 'interesting' top is the way to create a look with them that feels more me.  These are the only ones I own and were originally wide leg cropped jeans I thrifted for the repurposing.

Keeping in real!  Apologies for the washing in the edge of the shot :)

How about you?  Were you tempted by the end of year sales?  And what have you planned for the New Year?  Are you a wardrobe DIYer?

xxx Deborah

  1. I envy you, Deb. All week here in Ontario it has been in the -10 to -15 range and we have barely been able to go outside without freezing!

BTW, I am loving your hair!

    Can't wait for summer :)

  2. Hi Deborah, I really like the shorts, and with that top, you look edgy and comfy too! I've been one to "modify" shop-bought clothes on occasion over the years! With regards the sales, I bought 3 pairs of shoes (all black, can't help myself!). Happy 2015 to you too!

    1. Thank you! I am greatly encouraged by your comment:) I know I am not your traditional commercial blogger and don't seek to be. I love to see women dress for themselves and wear what they want, how they want:) I try to do the same xx

  4. I love this look on you. The combination of the arty top and the slightly RATE shorts is perfect. I have occasionally tried modifying clothes, but I have to confess to never having a lot of success.
