The light blue pants were a gift and I don't wear a lot of light colours, but rather than have them languish in the closet I decided to give them a try. They seemed like a good choice to wear with my new white boots as these too have been sitting in my wardrobe for a couple of months while I waited for the cooler weather, and considered just how to wear them. Ultimately I see the white boots with black skinny pants as I love the high contrast of black and white, but this low constrast combination was a nice way to ease into actually wearing the boots.
Not sure if I would repeat this exact combination but I did feel good, a couple of friends were complimentary of the comibination and it's fun to step out of your comfort zone, even just a little.
The oversized topper and slim bottoms is a pretty standard look for me but the lighter colours here are not my norm.

I have just found your blog and love your style
ReplyDeleteGreat boots :)
Hi Debra, thank you so much! I'm new to blogging and am just loving the opportunity to connect with other like minded women. Your comment has made my day :)
DeleteWhat a great outfit! Your coat is beautifully classic and the light blue pants just pop. I also think white boots look very stylish right at this time. Interesting design of your sweater. The white watch is a lovely choice.

Ann, thank you. The coat is two years old and still a favourite. The sweater is actually a jersey/tshirt fabric which drapes very well, and I have a love of asymetrical hemlines.
DeleteI love the soft mint with the black and that Stella Bag!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ofelia. About 5 years ago I think Stella McCartney did a range of Australian target. I wasn't particularly keen on the clothing but the range of accessories was really nice.
