Layer'd Origami Tee Dress in Pewter availble from Birdsnest. Also available in stone and tangerine. |
Layer'd is a label that is quite new to me. Discovered them while browsing Birdsnest. Some of their pieces are definitely too colourful for me and I am now eyeing of this gorgeous white tunic below.
Layer'd Soft Pleat Tunic |
Also patiently hanging in my closet waiting for Spring is this Metalicus dress. It is a blend of Merino Wool and Polyamide and feels beautiful against the skin and the "one size" stretches gently fitting to the body. Lookin forward to layering with this and expect it will actually work through most seasons.
Metalicus Gene Drape Tank Dress, currently sold out online but may be available in store. |
Have you bought anything new in anticipation of the coming change of season?

Love your choices. Being new to Melbourne and now feeling the warmer weather approaching, I am wondering what to wear for these seasonal changes. So your post is quite timely for me! I am thinking that layering with these stretchy fabrics is probably the go. I just love tights so I think I will keep wearing them. You're very brave for having clothes posted to you - I need to try things on because of my big bust!
ReplyDeletePetra, I'm a Melbourne girl living in Bendigo fir the past 4 years;). Given the limited option here, I have become quite adept at online shopping, and sizing charts help a lot. I'm also prepared to have tailoring done on certain items. I love tights too! What can work well is stirrup tights or leggings worn with open toe booties. Maintains "the look" but allows a little airflow;) Stretch fabrics and layering is the a great way to go xxx
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you wear these..
ReplyDeleteI've bought nothing for our approaching autumn/winter season! Have not even thought of it, due to summer's lingering heat where I live - out of sight, out of mind, I suppose.
I do find it easier to think ahead from winter to Spring than I do Summer to Autumn. Summer is so long and so hot that I just cannot entertain thoughts of heavy, warm winter clothing:)
DeleteSmart move preparing for Summer, and some lovely additions!
ReplyDeleteI will have to follow your example and start preparing my wardrobe for the warmer weather too.
Mia, we have had our first few warm days which inspires me a little to the plan. Thankfully my wardrobe is in good shape and these new goodies are wants not needs, which makes it more fun:)
DeleteYou HAVE to buy that white tunic! It looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteI have my summer wardrobe mostly planned, and have put a bunch of stuff on lay-by. I'm hoping I don't get ambushed by a new look that doesn't fit my plan as I very much relate to your "what the heart wants"!
Sharon you are naughty! Thankfully the tunic doesn't appear to be available on line only instore and my closest store is two hours away in Ballarat!! I will probably keep an eye on it!
DeleteYou sound super organised. Looking forward to seeing your new goodies. I'm hoping the new culottes make an appearance on your blog :)
I sure love that white tunic piece. I'm anticipating cooler temps and have bought two moto style vests to celebrate! ;)
ReplyDeleteHi Joni, the white tunic is soooo tempting :) Moto style vests are always a good choice. They tend to sit nicely on the fringe of trend and have a very long life span:)
DeleteDeborah, you mentioned on my blog that you're looking for a certain lipstick color. Have you tried Chanel's Rouge Coco in Mademoiselle (color 05)? It fits the description of nude with red tones. I haven't featured it on the blog but it's a lovely color that I wear often.
ReplyDeleteooooh, that Layer'd tee dress looks beautiful! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm always buying more clothes that I think my wardrobe "needs", changing seasons just give me more reason to develop a long list of "needs" haha! I have trouble differentiating between needs and wants with clothing sometimes ;)
