Contrasts

These photos were a result of messing around with Instagram.  I like the end result because the colour and tones  (though the tones are much warmer on the screen of my phone) make the second photo look like it could have been taken in the 70's.  The contrast between that vibe and the modern outfit made for what I think is an interesting, or least fun, picture.

  1. All black is my favorite.
Curious about your modern backdrop as well.

  2. The Divinitus, thanks for dropping by. Black is the foundation of my wardrobe, but I am trying to incorporate more inky blues.

The back drop is my home. I'm afraid I'm a rather new and "amateur" blogger. I'm hoping to try some outdoor locations in future.

I really enjoy your blog btw. It's beautiful to look at and your Rick Owens collection is stunning and you wear it beautifully.

    1. Thank you. Looking forward to see more of your posts. You may like Complexgeometries too; I always wear their cotton pieces during the summer.

    2. I have Odyssey Home to thank for introducing me to Complex Geometries. I'm eyeing off a couple of dresses at the moment. Summer here is hot hot hot so I think they would be ideal. Thanks for the recommendation.

    1. Hi Anne, will check out your blog. Thanks so much for popping by it's incredibly encouraging. Until two years ago I used to wear nothing but black, but have since introduced colour to my wardrobe. I realise that as I age, black can be very harsh and certain colours create a softness and really light the face. Im actually on a mission to replace a lot of my black with ink blue:)

  5. Odyssey, I adore all black! It has the ability to look stylish, elegant, sophisticated and edgy all at the same time. I have been experimenting with colour the past 18 months but am finding myself gravitating back to black.
