Dress

Well, I did promise a work outfit!

I love this dress and it is now about 4 or 5 years old.  It did fit better 6 kg's ago but I am working on that.

jacket (faux leather with ponte panels) : target
dress : target
animal print skinny belt : target
booties : django & juliette

If you have just read the outfit details... no this is not a sponsored post for Target :)  It's purely a coincidence the majority of these garment are from Target.    Target Australia has certainly improved over the years and are now producing some very nice, modern and budget friendly clothing.  Their work wear is well made with classic styling, and for something a little special their Limited Editions range is worth a look.

The Target dress reminded me of a Gucci dress (above) that I had pinned some time after I had bought the dress.  The fabric is quite a nice weight and the shorter sleeve length allows it to work reasonably well across Autumn / Winter / Spring.

Thanks for dropping by, and I hope to introduce you to a young upcoming local designer in coming weeks.

xxx Deborah

  1. That is a great dress! I've found some gems there also through the years. I like the fit of this dress and you have added minimalist accessories which look just right for this design. Cool jacket perfect for the dress. Your hair is looking so pretty today.

  2. Deborah, that's stunning! I love the dress with its accentuated waist and small belt. Very chic. I am sure Target had the Gucci dress on their mind. Same as ASOS or other brands do.
Your leather jacket looks great with this dress!

  3. Ann and Annette, thank you both. The jacket was quite a find. It is only 'pleather' but the fit is great and I love the shape. It is a nice alternative to the traditional blazer for work.

And Annette, given that Gucci is sadly out of my budget, it is quite wonderful that items with similar styings to the high end designs are sometimes available at a more budget friendly level:)

  4. I'm missing your posts and it's very much my loss. Barely getting all at Visible Monday visited before it's time to work the long weekend here, and then it's time to do it all over again.
You look marvelous in you very cool and sophisticated darks ... I could do nothing but that and feel very good about it, and will do a lot this winter coming. Looking forward to faux leathers, textures and lots of deep, deep jewel tones. Will be so interested to watch you move into spring.

    1. You make me smile:) I love how much you enjoy wearing black. When so many people encourage colour (lovely as it is) it is nice to know that there are others out there who enjoy and appreciate all that black has to offer :) I love the simplicity, the drama and the elegance of an all black outfit.
