SHOW STOPPING SHIRT DRESS

Ok it may not be showstopping, but I think it's quite special.

shirt dress : witchery
knit sleeveless tunic : supre
leggings : ??
ankle boots : rivers

I have had my eye on this dress since last September!  I was looking for  a shirt dress that was blue or black, with a fabric that was or looked like a satin, had long sleeves, had a round neck or grandpa collar and finally, had an uneven hemline in this case the hi/low hemline.    As you can see this one ticked all my boxes.

A couple of weeks ago I found the dress deeply discounted and didn't have to think twice about snapping it up.

I love clothing that can be used to layer with, and I also enjoy clothing that works across seasons.  This will work just as beautifully on a spring day with bare legs, sandals and rolled sleeves as it does for winter with the additional layers and boots.

How transeasonal is your wardrobe? Do you like to keep separate collections for each season, or is there a little/a lot of crossover?

  1. Oh, Deborah, that look great, I love this combination of blue and black. The shirt dress is really beautiful, I like the way the bass, with different length. With oversize jacket is a very interesting and beautiful outfit. Perhaps this approach would work well without pants?

    1. As always thank you for your very generous comments Josep-Maria. Yes this would work without the leggings and I will definitely try it that way when our weather warms up:).

    1. Thank you une femme. I do love mixing my textures, it does seem to add interest, particularly to monochromatic looks.

  8. Deborah -- This is a show-stopper. I love the whole look -- the complementary hems, the way the vamp of your shoes echoes the waves in the hems, the beautiful blue with black. This look is both elegant and striking
